ETC… Known as “the land of volcanoes,” El Salvador is the smallest Central American country but its reputation among specialty coffee has grown larger-than-life, especially since the early 2000s. This coffee is produced in the Santa Ana region, bordering Guatemala and Honduras. In the Indigenous Mayan language of  the region, BALAM means “JAGUAR”. Coffees included under the mark “BALAM” are milled to specific requirements and from farmers who are paid a premium for high-quality production.
